and every few minutes I had to salute. I was on post no 1 and that is the most important post of all as the big ware houses and the exchange is I got along fine tho but you have to watch your business for the officer of the day is liable to be watching you any time I had full authority and had a right to stop president Wilson if he had come along one fellow let an officer walk right up to him and jerk the the Gun out of his hands and than he did give him hell I signed the pay roll tonight and I sure hope they will hurry it up for I need it as I have had to buy several things and it seems as if money goes fast. but I have about two dollars and a half left. we had to buy our own gun oil and several little things and I like a little ice cream and candy once in a while ha ha
