Camp Dodge Tues. My Dear Mother: your letter received tonight and am going to ans right away don't worry if you don't hear from me for some time again I cant tell you anything for the Capt. said if anyone gave out anything in the way of news. that he would put the severest punishment on them it was in his power to inflict for it might be the means of sending hundreds of us to the bottom of the ocean and I am taking no chances believe me for I have never been called down even, since the early days of our training.
