Oct 23, 1918 Somewhere in France My Dear Mother; Well I am back to the Old Co. K and it seems like getting home. I bless my Stars that I was put in Co K for I believe taking every thing into consideration it is the best Co. in the regiment if not in the Division. I don't want you to worry if you don't hear from me very often from now on for I don't know how much time I will have but you can get I'll write whenever I get a chance. I had two letters from you One from Leona and one from Earl wating for me when I got back. Earl said he was well and Libel to stay in England
