Dec 30 1918 My Dear Mother; Well in the last letter i wrote to you I guess I told you about my ears going on the bum well they got so I could hardly hear anything and they sent me to the hospital I dont know how long I'll have to stay for it is hell to be in the hospital when you arent sick but I dont know but what I would just as soon be here as with the Co. for the weather is a fright snow one day and rain the next. If anyone ever says sunny France when I get home he is gong to be out
