a little time to get used to it again as I am pretty tired tonight. I wish mother you wouldent get so angry about not getting letters from me just when you think you should. There are times when a regiment is on the move that it is impossible to write. and you are so tired for several days afterwards you don't feel much like writing but you say other fellows write why cant you all right now you said someone had had a letter from Leon paine all right. Now while he was at Lucey just doing the ordinary military duties I was detached from the Co and sent to another town to school where I had very little time to write and it was hard to get writing material than when I got back to Lucey the order came to move and Co. K made the move over here in one day while it took most of the regiment two days to do. we thought when we got here we would be started home by Xmas. and I dident write as many letters as I might have. but we are here yet and I don't think we will leave for some time. Than you seem to think that because we aren't fighting life is just one glad sweet song. with nothing to do but eat and sleep. just listen a moment. we drill five hrs a day and dam good snappy drill to than on Saturday morning every dam thing you have got is inspected. and if you get a grade below 7
