oh i forgot you were a relation of the bentlys i have thought some of trying to get to work for your Mother this fall as soon as i get able to work what do you think about it would you be willing for me to work for your folks if so tell me so in your next letter your sister wants me to go there to work she says your Mother is real pleasant woman to work for your sister promised to come and see me this week but she did not come i expect it was because the Creek was so high we have had so much rain here that it has wet the ground so that folks Cant plow my brother tried to haul manure today and he got stuck in the mud in the slough and he pitched it off of the wagon and he had a span of 3 year old colts on the wagon and they would not try to pull it out and i went down to where my brother was and laughed at him i think i have got just as good a brother as anybody could have if the man i get is as good as my brother i shall be satisfied i would like to have a man that would not scold nor strike i have always said i never would live with a man that would strike for it does look awful to see a man abuse
