Excuse this blot there are some young folks here and they spilt the ink on this. I tried to get it off but failed. It is raining at present all my folks have gone to bed, it is ten o'clock and I must go to, so good night. May. you over to see me, come some Saturday and stay all night and go back Sunday. Take all the good time you can out of the fellows. There was one of my fellows here last evening and I had lots of fun with him. You bet I wished you was here to help me intertain him, we would have more fun than carrying the foot-log. ha ha ha. Is Henry Backholt married yet? And George Sankey? Josie is coming home Sunday, she and I will go down to Independence and have our pictures taken then I will send you one of mine. You be shure and have yours taken and send me one. Have photographs taken they are the best. Oh! I almost forgot to tell you of my valentine which I got, this year it is a daisy it says on it that "Love conquers all" and there is a very nice verse on it besides. Did you get one? I prize those flowers which you sent
