Mar 17 1884 Dear Brother I resieved your letter a few days ago I was very glad to hear from you a to hear that you found your land all right we are all well at the present Spring has just comenced here It has thawed every day for mot of a week and a great deal of the snow has melted and the roads are allmost impassible here I have not been home since you was there and have not seen any of Looman's folks since I resieved your letter I have got five new milk cows and the other two are coming in which will leave me six calves if the other live I get the use of my cows this summer and set my milk seperate
