I presume you could sell your land for ten dollars per acre, 160 acres makes a nice farm. Perhaps it would be well for you to sell there and come further west, Wild land around here is worth from 12 to 20 dollars an acre. I think you would have to go 2 or 3 hundred miles west to find Government land, you may find RailRoad land nearer, There are school lands in this state that are very desirable, One of our neighbors has just returned from a trip to Thayer Co. 40 miles west of here. He liked the country. There was 240 acres of school land there 5 miles from Hubbel 40 acres broke a fair size house, and
