RICE Banker and Real Estate Agent Smithland, Iowa Aug 9 1882 [illegible] Tripoli Iowa Dear Sir: Ben can sell your land without getting a deed In selling Ben would have to write out an assignment the same as W W Smith filled out on the [hack?] and paste then to the edge of the contract send to the Co to be [illegible] and returned Should we sell it for Ben the contract could be signed over and sent to us and we would send them to the Co. The lands are all sold around Bens. All the rough Land to Bens ought to sell for [50 cts?] per acre [more?] than Ben some Lands have advanced [1.00?] per acre R R [Lands?], still we have good Lands for sale at [illegible] 6.00 per acre [illegible]
