Presume you are back from the London spree. Did you have a good time? Do you take helmet & gas mask on such trips? What a sight those planes must be. I had imagined they were some thing extra special to see but not that they were so perfectly gorgeous. I'll think of your description every time I read the papers. When I read your "I'd rather read" I wanted to turn you over my knee & spank you - when you get home there won't be another darn thing to do and how you'll hate it night after night after night. You'd better be doing something about it while you can. Well I hope nothing will happen to make me walk over town tomorrow - three times in one week are plenty. Helen Fochs is going to bring some meat out & spend the day here Sunday. I put my last red points into a slice of ham this week but more will be good Feb 1st when I'll get your sardines - Not using any butter at all I got along fine but since they've taken to declaring them invalid without any notice, I try not to let them get very old. I never use more than half the blue ones because of having my own vegetables - but come closer on the red which are used for all fats - meats - cheese - canned fish etc - even liver takes points now. That was what Betty always depended on to finish out her period with - Can you realize that Rickey will start college next fall? Time does fly! - I'll say it does for it is midnight and I have to finish a library mystery story Grace Allen gave me today. good night & lots of love Mother
