Tuesday night April 24 - 45 My, but this was a nice day! I got your letters 6 - 7 and 8. - Yes, I am interested to know you came out so well in your physical exams. I guess the hard work agrees with you. Who takes your place at the 91st? Is Lin still there? Wasn't she the other Rec Worker from Texas? What did you do with your bicycle? Did you go over by air? You certainly got around a lot in those last few days in England. Nice you could have the week-end with your old gang. Who is the "we" that strolled around Paris? Did you have time to look up the lady at whose house you lived that summer? Hope you can see Herb - Don't do any Paris shopping on things that I can send you cheaper from here - I'll phone Prof Bush and Clara Smith in the morning and write Mrs. B (Mrs. Brodtman & Minster Lovell) - also - I am glad you gave me her address for I have wanted to thank her for being so good to you - Monday I worked in the garden off and on all day and got a lot done - Today it has been cold and rained all day. I went over town at 10 - mailed your box 46 - got you a bond with your April 15th check - Went to Dr. Richardson's at 11 and glory be! he could put in another white filling in that front tooth. I told him your suggestions of the diamond set. He said they had perfected a white plastic filling that would be better than gold but that it wouldn't be on the market till after the war so even if this filling does come out, he'll keep putting it back till I can have plastic. It didn't hurt the least bit - took only an hour & 3.50. He said I could eat corn on the cob - Went right over to the Ration Board and worked till 5. Stopped at the Washington Hotel (I had parked on the P.O. hill) to see Helen Greteman - She and Mary Anne are coming out and have lunch with me tomorrow. Ted is away on a clinic trip and Bobby eats at school. Saw Gretchen on the street and she asked about you and sent her love - Saw Mrs. Johnston in the A & P
