Every one who buys Red Clover Lead, must provide himself with one ounce of the Solution of Salt of Tartar, which will cost him only a penny; - Just a small portion of the seed into a sufficient quantity of the Solution, so as to immerse it; the result will be, that the false colouring will disappear from the seed which is doctored, which will then appear in its natural state; and on comparing the sample with that part which has undergone this experiment, the difference in colour will be immediately perceived. The same experiment on genuine seed will produce not change of colour at all. - For Burns or Scabs A Plaiser of Whiting and Sweet Oil of the Skin is not broken.
