Pairaffine or [Pitraline?] An easy method of proving whether the oil is [illegible] or not. Let two or three straps be allowed fall upon a plate or [Sunece?], [illegible] apply to [illegible] lighted match; if the flame spreads over the surface of the straps the oil should on no account be used as it will [illegible] prove explosive. The genuine parafine or petroline will not burn except upon a wick.
