For a Sore Throat Wine glass of water. Do of Vinegar, 1 Tablespoonful of Saltpetre, and 2 spoonfuls of Honey For the Hair 1 Oz of Borax, 1/2 Oz of Camphor pounded, 12t of boiling water. Chinnock Furniture Mixture Spirits of Wine and a little linseed Oil mixed together, with also clean Oil clothes and French polished Furniture. Chinnock To clean Paper Rub the paper with stale Bread if greasy a piece of Flannel wetted with spirits of wine or with Smiths scouring drops (a mixture of pure Turpentine and essence of Lemon. Family Herald For the Hair 1/2 lb Lard, Tablespoon salad oil, 6 Pennyworth of Essence of Bergamot but together. To Polish Tortise Shell Make a paste of Jewellers rouge and a little sweet oil, put it on the Comb and when quite dry brush it of Then polish the Comb with washleather. Family Herald
