Furniture Polish 1/4 Pint Vinegar 1/4 Pint Turpentine, 1/2 pt Linsee Oil, to be well shaken before using. S. [Crumn?] 1/2 Pt Whiskey, 1/4 Pt Vinegar, 1/4 Pt Linseed Oil Furniture Polish Mr [Bane?' Paste for Scrap Books 1/2 Teaspoonful of pounded Allum dissolved in enough cold water to make 1 Pt of paste, Pour the water when the Allum is dissolved on to enough Flour to thicken it as stiff as common paste, bring it to a boil stirring all the time and when done add a few drops of the oil of Cloves, the Allum prevents fermentation, and the oil of Cloves destroys all vegetable mould. To destroy Rats and Mice Flour of Malt, Butter and a drop of Oil of Amseed made into Balls, bait your traps with [illegible] Merten H. [Kane?'
