Sponge Cake Take 12 Eggs, 1 lb powdered loaf Sugar, 1/2 lb of flour, break your eggs, take half the white away, then divide the other half from the yolks let them be well beaten, with a whisk, put them together, let your sugar be made very find then add it to your eggs a little at a time continuing to beat them all the time, then add your Flour. This Cake requires to be beaten 1 hour. If the Oven is fierce 1 hour will bake it.
