Receipt to Make Milk Punch (Mrs [Terry?]) Two Quarts of Rum, the same quantity of Brandy, three quarts of water, two pounds of lump sugar, one nutmeg grates one dozen of Lemons squeezed. Mix this altogether, then add three pints of new Milk, pour it in boiling to the [clove?]. Let it stand [twelve?] hours, then run it through a jelly bag to fine it. N.B The Rinds of the Lemmons should be grinded very thin and steaped in some of the spirits 48 hours before mixed with the other ingredients.
