35) To make BrimStone Water. It is good to cure a Consumption or [eary?] Caugh & to preserve the Lungs & heale them if putrified, and to drive out small pox to cur(e) worms in Children, to open obstructions & many other infirmities Take five half pints of faire water, and put it in a pipkin, and put to it half an ounce of flower of Brimstone, then Set it on the fire, & boyle it Softley till half a pinte of more be wasted, then Straine it and put to it half a pound of Liquorice Sliced thin 2 drams of Coriander Seeds prepared, Set it on the fire again & let it boyle as before, till half a inte more be Consumed, then Straine it. Let the patient man or women take a quarter of a pinte in the morning Fasting, till it be all gone, faste one our after it. when you prepare the Coriander Seeds Steep them in vinegar one night then rub them in a Cloath and dry them in a puter dish by the fire then bruise them & So they are fitt fore use. Balme Water. Take balme with the whole Substance Shred in Small & bray it & lay it to Steep in good white
