42) 4 of ye Clock in the morning, & Soe in ye afternoonh, and at night going to bed five Spoonfulls at a time. To Cure a Fistula. Take a pound of pound of parr Rossell, and of sheeps suet, the biggness of an egg Some what more if you make it in water. Put them in a pan of water and Sett them over ye fire untill they be ready to boyle then poure it into an Earthen pan of cold water, rubb your hands with Butter that it may not Stick to them, So work it very well, then Spread it to a Cloath very thin upon the finest holland then cutt it out Small and narrow and when you use it rowle it hard Like a tent as small as pack thread. The powder belonging to it. Take an ox hoorne & lay it in water nine dayes changing ye water every morning then take it out and fill it up with black Soape, then put it into a frying pan over the fire, and the horn will melt away and turn to powder and when you dress ye sore deap the end of ye tent in this powder, and Soe apply it Juice of Liquorish Take one pound of Spanish Liquorish, not to dry nor to greene, and Scrape it very clean, till there be no blackness, nor rotteness, then Slice
