53) a Cloath wett with the water many times dubbl(e) upon the Sore, & make it up, taken of the cloth and wetting it again as it gross drie, or else use ye Salve before mentioned, or with a plaster of Conserve of red Roses which is very good if the Sore be not deep you need not use that [tent?] oro powder belonging to it. Take no more of the water then you use for any dressing and use igt as hot as you can endure it. Alsoe the older the water is, the better is but it ought to be Stirred once in 2 or 3 dayes, for feare of Settling, and before you take out any, shake the whole quantitie before hand. If you keep this water in Some Earthen pot cover it onely with a tile or So, it is better then close Stopped when you apply this water to any tender part whereby it smarteth much, you may allay the strength thereof by putting there to some plaintain water. You may use it for ye eyes for repelling of theames or healing any Soreness, or you may take it into your mouth in case of ne[illegible] but let not goe down into the Sto(mack) the effects of this water has been great, tried to restore part gangrened and ready
