Lemon Custard. abbie H. Nye 1 doz eggs - 1 cup sugar - 1 cup water juice of 4 lemons bake in cups. Snow Balls Mrs R. Swell rice in milk - strain it off - pare & core your apples - cover each with the rice adding a piece of lemon peel and a piece of stick cinnamon - put each in a cloth & let them boil well. Egg Pudding. "English" Mrs Swift 9 eggs - 9 spoons flour - a little salt 1 qt. milk - stiffer for boiling than for baking Boil 2 hours - Bake 1/2 hour. Boiled Pudding. "English" abbie H. Nye To make a pudding light as cake - 1 pt. cream you first must take, or wanting that good milk will do by adding butter thereunto. 4 eggs & then 4 spoons of flour, and boil it in a cloth an hour.
