Ginger Nuts. abbie H. Nye 2 Lbs. flour - 1/2 Lb. butter - 1/2 Lb. sugar 1 pt molasses - 1 tablespoon saleratus, - a little salt - 2 tablespoon ginger - 2 of cinnamon - 1 of cloves - 1 of allspice - roll very thin. Scotch Cakes. Wm. Logan Rodman Rub 3/4 Lb Butter into 1 Lb sifted flour mix in 1 Lb powdered sugar and 1 large spoon grated cinnamon - mix all into a dough with 3 well beaten eggs - roll thin - cut in round cakes bake in a quick oven. Drop Cakes Mrs. Perry 1 pt milk - 1 egg - 1 spoon butter - 2 of yeast - little salt - mix with a spoon very stiff - when raised take a spoon and stir in the flour if wanted. "Dubious"
