For the Feet. Mrs W. Nyes take 3 or 4 qts warm water - add to this 1 tablespoon Common washing soda - or the fine super - carbonate of soda. as you please and 3 tablespoon common salt.- put your feet in and gradually add to it water, as hot as you can bear it for 20 or 30 minutes until your feet are in a very high heat. - then remove them & wipe dry. Should any spots of hardened skin be upon them scrape these off as often as possible, so as to make all the skin covering the feet, the bottom & sides especially as thin as possible. Repeat this once a week and you will never have corns, or any inconvenience in your feet. To perfume sick rooms. Ed. a few drops of oil of sandal wood dropped on a hot shovel.
