Pitting of Small Pox. Ed. When the pustules begin to appear annoint with sweet oil & lime water as these are generally prepared for application to burns or water - scalds. to allay all irritation and prevent the discoloration of the curicle & the pitting which are so often the accompaniment of this fearful disorder. Tooth-ache. Dublin Hospital Insert in the hollow of the tooth a pill made of Canada balsam & slacked lime which will afford immediate relief in all cases but chronic inflamations. Charcoal for Burns. Ed Lay a piece of cold charcoal upon the burn & the pain will immediately subside. By leaving it on 1 hour the would is healed.
