Remedy for Frozen limbs. Mercury. Avoid going near the fire, bind up the frozen limbs in cloths wrung in cold water, renew them often until the frost is all out. Then apply immediately a cold poultice made of boiled French turnips made fine & change once or twice a day until the limb is healed. Cure for the Diptheria. Cayuga Co. N.Y. When the symptoms are first discovered take Spanish flies, pound & mix with Venice turpentine spread it on a piece of soft leather cloth & bind it on the throat - which will raise a blister, & soon remove the disease from the throat. The Remove oil from a Floor. Cover the spot with hot ashes, & continue the process until the grease is extracted: or wet the spot with concentrated ley, as strong as it can be dissolved.
