a teacupful of water or of the liquor from the soup. Season with pepper + salt + stew for a quarter an hour Liver + Bacon Fry half a pound of bacon. When done put it on a hot plate before the fire. Slice the liver and dust it with flour. Fry at least a quarter of an hour then dish with the bacon. To make the gravy take a desert spoonful of flour + a breakfast cupful of cold water. Pepper + salt it then pour it into the frying pan + stir till it boils. Boil it 2 or 3 minutes.
