Macaroni & Mutton 1 lb mutton cut in pieces. Put a carrot turnip onion & pepper & salt on the top Break 1/4 lb macaroni & put it on the top of the vegetables. Cover with cold water & stew 2 hours Macaroni & Cheese Break 1/4 lb macaroni in small pieces. Boil half an hour with a little salt in the water. Pour off the water & boil with half a pint milk. half an hour. Grate 2 oz cheese grease a dish & put a layer of macaroni on it Sprinkle over it cheese pepper & salt Add the rest in other layers. Put a few pieces of butter on the top & brown it
