Date and Nut Squares - Emily Koren 3 eggs 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped nuts 1 c. " dates 1 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder Beat eggs very well. While warm cut and sprinkle with sugar Date Bars Sally Woolson 2 tbs butter 2 eggs 1 c. brown sugar 3/4 c. flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/3 tsp. salt 1/2 c. chopped nuts 1 c. dates (chop up) Mix as plain cake. Bake in shallow pan lined with wax paper in 350º oven. Cut into squares or bars. 30 mins (about)
