Rough Puff Paste Mrs. Black 1/2 lb flour 6 oz butter 1 yolk of egg 1 tsp lemon juice Put flour & butter on a board. Chop butter into flour until piece 1/2" large. Mix egg, lemon juice & a little water add to flour & butter to make a firm paste. Sprinkle with flour. Roll in a long piece roll out and back. Sprinkle with flour fold evenly in three parts. Turn 1/2 around, roll again, flour and repeat a third time after the fourth rolling folding sprinkle fold in half roll to desered size. Cook hot oven.
