Punch down, let rise again and divide in half. Shape 1 into plain loaf. Place in a well greased bread pan, grease tsp and let rise till 1/2 again. Roll dough into piece 8" wide 1/2" thick. Brush with slightly beaten egg sprinkle with nuts and dates. Roll like a jelly roll. Place in pan, grease the top let stand. Make 3 diagonal slashes on top of each. Bake at 335 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool thoroughly before storing.
