Brett Oatmeal Bread Make 3 med and 1 sm. loaf 6 cups white flour 2 rounded top salt 2 tbs melted butter 1/2 cup molasses or honey 1 cup slow cooking rolled oats 2 cups boiling water 2 barley dry yeast 1/3 cup lukewarm water Put oats and boiling water in a large bowl - let stand about 1/2 hour (still warm) soak yeast in luke-warm water about 5 minutes, Add to oats - the salt molasses and butter Stir- Add yeast, Stir in 2 cups of flour. Then 2 more Knead in last 2-1/2 cup at a time. Knead till dough is no longer sticky add more flour if necessary! Cover bowl let rise in warm place 2 hours, cut down with knife. Divide for loaves Put in well greased pans - Let rise again 1 to 2 hrs. Cook at 325 degrees for 50 minutes top rack 2 pans 9x5x3 (Small loaves 40 minutes
