August 1917 Dear Conger: Just a little note to tell you we are so delighted and thankful that you received a commission. We knew you would get something and we couldn't ask for more. We've been having a sort of thanksgiving and praise meeting all forenoon. Malen said he wished he was like you. Martha is just so glad also, as we are. It seems so good to have them all here and we are enjoying having them so much, John says
