Nevada, 12/28/17 Dear Children I just arrived home at 7 P.M. our train was so late getting into ST Louis that we missed the Nevada train so it was necessary for me to stay all night in ST Louis. It was truly a long lonely journey and one I never wish to take again. Shortly after you left me a Major and his wife came in he looked so much like Sandy that I almost dropped out of my seat. They were Newly weds and sat right across from me and they were so nice, she asked me to go to the Hotel with them other wise I would have sat right in the station all night for Id never
