Falmouth Va Feb, 14, 63 Dear father I have just received your letter of the 6th ins [sic. instance?] and I now hasten to answer it. It found us all well. You spoke about the money. I think the mistake is with Bowmen, for James Skinner our quarter master put the Amount down in this way Charles A Gates $60.00 goeing [sic. goint to you L Meade $30 do do [i.e., ditto, ditto] The amount set on the list is seprate [sic. separate] mine is first and Lafayette right under all directed to you Parish Nywhy they wil If they canot [sic. cannot] make it there right there why they will here
