June 1st White Oak Church Camp Reserve Artillery Nere [sic. near] Dear father. I received yours of the 19th last week it found me well and hope this may find you the same. We have moved from camp Grafton Nere [sic. near] Falmouth where I wrote before to you. We are camped now nere [sic. near] White Oak Church about 3 miles from Bellplain [sic. Belle Plain]. A week ago yestday [sic. yesterday] Lewis and I went over to the 147th Regt. I saw Edward Burnett and a number of others from our place. Edward looks a great deal healthy than he did when I saw him last winter he is
