Aug 2nd Warrenton Junction 1863 Dear Father Your letter of the 20th came to hand yesday [sic. yesterday] and I now hasten to answer it. It found me well. i hope this may find you the same. I was very glad to here [sic. hear] from you after so long a time. We moved from Warrenton down here to the Junct [sic. Junction] last Saturday 10 miles. We are camped now in a peace [sic. piece] of woods where we camped most one year an a half ago. It is awful warm here now and there is no good water to be found. Scarcely what we do got now we have to fetch about one mile. The boys from our place
