we crossed Occoquan Creek about 6 O'clock monday morning and come up about a mile from the fort and camped a little while with orders to be ready to move at 9 O'clock. We came here about 2 O'clock Monday after noon We passed through Fairfax station and across where we camped 1 1/2 year ago every thing look Natural as it did when we were here before. We have been expecting to move toward Washington every day but today the report is that the rebs are fallback from Pennsylvania, so I think we shall stay here a while. There was some fireing off toward Occoquan Creek this morning. I guess the rebs are feeling around
