Orders have now arrived that will take us further this afternoon. The coincidence that I am tracing back from America the same route that I followed in going home in 1916 continues. Isn't it funny?
   Know, sweetheart, that I am missing you just as you want me to. I think of you always but not in a way to make me anything but a better helper of our Uncle Sam. I'm warmed inside every time I have the comfortable realization that you are my very own - my wife - and I am pledged to you. Life is immeasurably good to me. Now, beloved, if you will give me one of your thrilling, memorable kisses I'll begin making ready for another trip. Your devoted hubby, Conger.
