February 8, 1918. My wife and sweetheart, - This is extra - not one of the regular series. I am waiting in the café of the hotel for dinner time with nothing to do. Why not write? No sooner thought than arranged. To do it I must use some of the the extraordinary stationery provided by the management. My trunk and bag are all packed and put away at the station a mile away. In two hours I leave for _______X Orders for the move arrived this morning. I have done nothing to-day but make preparations. It takes a lot of fussing about in a place where transfer wagons are scare and the purchasing of tickets and registering of baggage is a
