As the hostess remarked in a little chat I had with her about her work, "the crust over here is pretty thin," and she and her sort will do a lot toward keeping the boys from breaking through. I know what the danger is. I've passed through the test and beat the old devil at his little game - did it when I was over before. It's still here. I saw it going in the restaurant tonight. One of those vamps with the "come-on" eye was playing for the soldier boys. And some of them were fluttering about. I don't know how she came out - hope she lost.
