I thought I was on the wrong trail as I came along a bit ago, following directions previously received. But my flashlight finally spotted the red triangle. The rooms are filled with fellows sitting about the stoves and fireplaces, and crowding all the writing tables. I have been here two days. There has been no time to explore the town. I have seen only two or three streets and those in the darkness. The night we arrived we were hauled to the barracks in the cold mist of 2 a.m. The quarters assigned to us consisted of one large, dirty, empty room in a fireless freezer of a stone building.
