I hope he is still there and freezing fast to the side walk because it is steen below again. Captain Earpe has been very nice. He entertains us occasionally with tales of how he is running the war. Apparently he was responsible for Vernon Castle's death because he was the one who fixed things so Castle could come back to America. Such tales are an insult to the intelligence of a half-wit, but they are amusing.
