that red-headed owl upstairs and I have taught steadily ever since until five o'clock tonight. And such a bunch of idiots! Hazel was the only one with a grain of worth in her carcass, and the time with her went all too quickly. Now I learn that I am head of the entertainers for our annual George Washington spree, which means putting powder in my freshly shampooed hair and "dolling up" in Colonial costume, to say nothing of amuzing the two - hundred and some howling Missourians, Nix! I'm going to be a slacker this time. That's what I say every year but I suppose at the last minute I'll break my fool neck whipping things into shape. I'm anxious to hear whether your helmet ever reaches you. Ida was not finished the wristlets yet, and if I can beat her to it I want to make them for you myself. In such case she can pass hers on to the Red Cross. I've been reading some of the accounts in the Geographic, written by our women
