Honey, I want you to know that the letter putting an end to my "plans" arrived. I know you are right in what you say, and of course what you say goes, but if any other opportunity presents itself, may I? If you hear from the Sanborns favorably, and things look more favorable, you'll change your mind, I know, but dear, if any thing comes up - any way that I could help - you will not object I know. I was happy to send you, dear, and you know it, and I do want to help in some way. The only drawback I know of to being a woman is that we are considered the weaker sex.
