Fifty-five. April 15, 1918. Dearest Darlin',- Four more letters from you, honey! They are lying right here before me, containing wonders I do not yet know but can find delightful in even in anticipation. When one of our drivers got back from G.H.Q. this evening, he turned over four letters to me - no, it was five. Two were from you, and three from Ernest, Juliet, and Mother. I fingered them over a bit and decided to read the three, saving yours like the dessert for later. I had hardly finished when another driver came in with four more, two of which were from you and two from the
