Sixty-one, April 23,1918 Dearest Dearest,- Without violating the spirit of the censorship I can tell you that I am still in France, which is a country just west of Germany and east of the Atlantic ocean. The war - the same one that begin between spring and autumn of 914 - is still going on. I may even say that American troops are now engaged in it. The armies are using rifles and cannon and are wearing uniforms. Battles are occasionally fought. It has not bean decided when the war will end but there are rumors that it will be when peace is signed. Having thus summarized the whole situation very thooroughly,
