7/24/45 Dear Lloyd, Just a few lines to let you know we are still kicking and think of you often. I can't hardly wait till to get back. We are haveing some good old time Iowa weather now. about 100° and no shade today I suppose by now you have heard that Henry is home. he came through very good for the spot he was in will tell you all about it when you get home. Things here are going along about as usual. Although we are short of a lot of comodities We have taken one week of our vacation, have one more comeing up in August. The crops here look very good in spite of the late wet spring we had this year. We see Laura quite often she is getting along OK. Well Lloyd will have to sign off for this time. hope this finds you ok. Yours, Jack
