Showed Mr. Behrens and Mr. Piersall your pictures. I still find it easy and pleasanter to talk to the men you worked with than with some of the social friends. Ironed some this morn. Ate breakfast at home but lunch & supper out. Food is costly and not such good quality. Groceries for home cooking are costly too. We have enough good food, but not the pre-war prices or selections. Tonights paper says the points won't be lowered until after the first of the year. It is a tremendous job to get the men in, and then out again. I'll be glad to have you back in the States, but I think we have been so fortunate we can't fret if it takes time to get a discharge. I love you. Write to me your conversation 'til you can be here. Love, Laura
