U.S. ARMY FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, MD. Oct 29 1942 Thur Nite Dearest. Just cam back from the P.X. got some ice cream + candy bars we dont get enough to eat yet. it has improved some Got a letter today you wrote on the 23 we are not learning a thing here I would hate to work with anyone around here where the going is tough most of the fellows here cant eaven march good. There only 3 of the camp croft fellows togeather now we have beds togeather I dont know where the others are now dont see any of them I sure would like to be home as long as I have a good home + a good wife I would want to be home if I didnt have a home just to be with you
